Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance. However, I will happily provide a Superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance provider.
What is a Superbill and how do I use it?
A Superbill is a document provided by a healthcare professional detailing services provided and the cost. It includes necessary information and codes for potential reimbursement from your insurance provider.
As a first step, I recommend connecting with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network benefits and deductible (if any). If you choose to move forward with a Superbill, I will provide one monthly that you can then submit to your insurance company directly for reimbursement.
Do you have sliding scale rates?
When I am able to, I do offer sliding scale rates. Sliding scale rates are based upon availability and financial need. If I am unable to meet your needs, let’s work together to find someone who can.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients inform me within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment time. If cancellations are made less than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment time, I charge the full rate of the session.
Do you offer in person and virtual therapy?
I do! I have limited in-person availability in Costa Mesa, CA and am available for virtual sessions to clients throughout California. For virtual sessions, I utilize a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform via Simple Practice.
Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Research shows that yes! The choice between virtual or in-person sessions is based on client preference, clinical appropriateness, and availability.
What can I expect in a consultation call?
In our consultation call, you can expect a warm, casual conversation to get to know you, your current concerns, and what you are looking for in a therapist. The intent is to see if your goals match what I can offer and if you feel a connection that we can build upon in therapy. If so, we can move forward with scheduling a full session. If I am not the right fit for your goals, I’m happy to point you in the direction of another therapist who might be.
